Virat Kohli, Anil Kumble push BCCI for fast bowling coach

New Delhi: Virat Kohli and Anil Kumble, in a discussion with BCCI’s CoA last week, have pressed for the selection of a fast bowling coach. The BCCI did not name a replacement to Bharat Arun when they chose Kumble as a successor to Ravi Shastri last June.

The India team again looks close to having a fast bowling coach. Chief coach Anil Kumble and skipper Virat Kohli discussed the issue with the Committee of Administrators (CoA) on Sunday and indications are that the BCCI is in agreement, according to sources.
The BCCI did not name a replacement to Bharat Arun when they chose Kumble as successor to Ravi Shastri last June. India now have a solid bunch of pacers in Umesh Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah and Ishant Sharma as well as all-rounder Hardik Pandya.
